• I’ll never forget one of my daughter’s friends saying, “Maybe I should just follow my heart,” to which I promptly replied, “Have you ever heard the term ‘crime of passion?'” I went on to tell her about how the Bible tells us about how our hearts can deceive us and that we don’t do what feels right but rather what IS right. It was quite a conversation that bared great fruit.

  • I loved this post and the truth spoken! There are times we need to be called out to check the old ticker and make sure our heart is aligned with God’s heart. It is so easy to get stuck in the rut! Thanks for sharing your heart and being a true sister! Only follow your heart if God is leading you…

  • Great illustrations!! We do have to clean out of the mold, keep our souls from being sold, and be careful in the end not to let our hearts be cold!
God, gave us brains and hearts. He has definitely provided his truth so we can guard our hearts from the feelings that might try to sway us away from Him.

  • Those phrases you mentioned in the beginning make me cringe, especially when they come from Christians. Thank you for bringing to light the reasons why this is worldly wisdom.
